The first thing I did after waking up in the morning on 27th was to check if there was a sea of clouds in Kurokura area. Usually I can see a sea of clouds in the Kurokura area but I couldn't see it this time. I was planning to go to Hoshitoge Rice Terraces to see the sea of clouds, but I was not sure if there was a sea of clouds or not. In the end, I decided to head for Hoshitoge Rice Terraces.

If you aim for around six o'clock, you can see the sky before the sunrise with a light pink color. Last time I arrived at Hoshitoge Rice Terraces around 7:00, I was able to see a sea of clouds in the blue sky.

It was pretty dark outside until around 5:00, but it was better to leave in the dark considering the travel time. I arrived before the sunrise. The gradation of orange and pink colors terraced rice fields beautifully.

This seemed to be a famous photo spot, and I saw a few people with SLR cameras. On this day, I had a wonderful encounter here. While I was taking pictures, I said hello to a man who was nearby. We naturally got to talking about cloud seas and photography, and he introduced me to another place. He introduced to me that his name was Mori-san from Kashiwazaki. He took me to a place called "Gamo terraced rice field" with him.

Morisan seems to take a lot of pictures of the sea of clouds in Tokamachi and Niigata. On the way to the "Gamo Rice Terraces", he introduced me to another photo spots.

When we arrived at the terraced rice fields of Gamo, a sea of clouds appeared closer than before. The morning sun was also rising and the sky went from pinkish to orange.

I'm glad he introduced me to this beautiful spot. I wonder if I will see Mori-san again. I am very grateful to him for showing me this wonderful place. When I got back to Kurokura around 7:00, a few clouds were moving in. I wondered how the clouds were moving in the Matsunoyama area.

From a different angle, I could see the scaly clouds. It was a morning that reminded me of autumn.
